Short Fine Legs – Cricket has lost its mind

What the hell Cricket?! Dan goes away for two weeks and you start behaving like this? Are you drunk? What has happened to you?

To help wade through the mess that has become this enthralling series between South Africa and Australia, Dan has called on Aussie Geoff Lemon and Saffa Telford Vice to unpack the latest talking points around the ball tampering fiasco.

Amongst all the speculations, frustrations and resentment there is a very good series on the go so don’t worry, we get to the actual cricket too.

We’ll be talking about this series for a long time. Stay in the loop by engaging with the pod and with Niche Radio.

Short Fine Legs – TUNNELGATE (and some cricket) with Stuart Hess

There’s been some drama in this enthralling series between South Africa and Australia and most of it has taken place off the field as both sides have been at each other’s throats.
Amid the chaos, the visitors claimed a resounding victory at Kingsmead though there were some positives for the home team.
The circus now moves to Port Elizabeth where the Proteas will be hoping to bounce back.
Dan is joined by The Star newspaper’s chief cricket correspondent Stuart Hess to unpack the many talking points.

Short Fine Legs – Australia Preview with Jarrod Kimber

Dan is back and is joined by Australian journalist Jarrod Kimber to preview the highly anticipated four-match series between the Proteas and the old enemy that is the Baggy Green.

Who has the better of the two pace attacks? Who has the better spinner? How do you get Steve Smith out? Is Morne Morkel more giraffe or hippo?

All these questions and more in our latest episode.

Short Fine Legs – Battered at the Bull Ring, Test Roundup & ODI Musings

Simmi Areff is back to help Dan unpack the battering Dean Elgar and the rest of the Proteas suffered at the Bull Ring, but at least they got a catchy song out of it.

They also unpack the series as a whole, arguing over player ratings and pick their best XI for the upcoming ODI series against India.

Short Fine Legs – Anand Vasu on Indian Seam, Kohli’s Captaincy and Spicy Wickets

Dan is joined by the esteemed Indian journalist Anand Vasu to get his thoughts on the first Test at Newlands and how the Indian side is shaping up ahead of the trial by fire at Centurion.

Why are spinning tracks considered poor? Can India match South Africa when it comes to fast bowling? Why is Virat Kohli angry all the time?

Answers to these questions and more.

Short Fine Legs – T20 Challenge Preview

One of the most formidable partnerships in world cricket returns as Dan is joined by standup comedian Simmi Areff.
The pair preview the upcoming T20 Challenge as all eight franchises are blessed with an abundance of Proteas who bring an extra bit of glitz to the competition.
The Titans look formidable, the Cobras could spring a surprise, the Lions look short of a batsman, the Dolphins have quality spinners, the Knights have a new leggie and the Warriors will play some nice cricket but, as always, not win anything.
