Under the Table – Zari

Silvana Dantu is a South African entrepreneur who spotted a gap in the wine market. After working extensively to promote South Africa to the world, Silvana realised that visiting a vineyard if you don’t drink wine, is almost tragic. There isn’t much to enjoy if you don’t enjoy a tipple. That was how Zari was born. Silvana and her business partner now offer sparkling premium grape juice to the world, to partner champers, so no one is left out of the celebration.
An entrepreneur but long-time business women, Silvana is keen on helping young, black women forge a path in the wine industry and has offered you her time. If you want to spend some time learning the tricks of the trade, you can find Silvana at dantu@africanequations.co.za
Zari is available in major supermarkets and on Facebook.

Celebration of Bubbles

Celebration of Bubbles
This weekend was the Celebration of Bubbles Festival held at Inanda Club in Sandton and what a celebration it was.
Class and refinement met bubbles and good class in Johannesburg.
There were over 20 different bubblies including Graham Beck, L’Ormarins, Steenberg, Genevieve MCC, Moreson and JC Le Roux.

Veuve Cliquot, Piper Heidsieck and Armand de Brignac (rap mogul Jay Z’s champagne of choice) were three of France’s finest champagnes that were available to be tasted, enjoyed or bought for later.

On entry, we were handed our champagne flute to enjoy all the amazing bubbles. The only problem was that the flute photo-bombed every one of our pictures.
Here are some of the highlights from the day…
A warm welcome from the organisers
Now this is a society that I think we should join
A little shaded VIP area
What a view over the polo fields at Inanda
Couldn’t ask for better weather to enjoy some sparkling wine
A view from inside the VIP area
Entertainment was wonderful
Those are champagne shoes on the left
Another photo bomb by the flute
Amazing lights at Inanda
Some art for you
