One year of BrewHogs

BrewHogs tuned one year old this weekend. The brewery, based in Kyalami in Johannesburg celebrated with a little beerfest of sorts. Folks were invited to celebrate and for R100, could drink five pints of beer. The brewery make four different styles of beer from a refreshing Pilsner to a dark IPL Ale. We tried them all and had a great time as we dodged the weather that would drop some rain every now and again.

Also at the fest was Hogshead who were cooking up some of the best burgers that you can get in Johannesburg for only R50. That’s right. For only R50, you could get this mighty piece of heaven.

The weather eventually did get the better of the festival and most folks ducked inside to carry on enjoying the amazing brew.

They are open every day for you to pop in and have a drink but the best time to go is on a Friday afternoon and meet the folks behind the ales. Tell them we say hi.

Just a note to finish. What made us really happy was that, unlike other festivals, there was no entry charge before you have to pay for your beers. Many other fests charge you R100 before you even start drinking or eating and, to us, that’s a rip-off.

Thank you BrewHogs and we look forward to working with you in the future.
